🔒 100% Private: Your TIF files are converted entirely in your browser using PDF-Lib and UTIF.js. Nothing is uploaded to any server. Multi-page TIFF files are fully supported — each TIFF page becomes one page in the PDF.
Runs in your browser. Files and text you add here are processed on your own device with JavaScript and are not uploaded to our server. Some tools download a free open-source library (for example PDF.js or QPDF) from a public CDN the first time you use them. Very large files depend on your device's memory.

Office scanners, fax servers and document-imaging systems love TIFF, often packing a whole document into one multi-page .tif file. Most people receiving it can't open it on a phone, and many upload portals don't accept it.

This tool converts TIF and TIFF files to PDF in your browser. It decodes every frame of multi-page TIFFs with the UTIF library, so a 12-page fax becomes a 12-page PDF, and it can combine several TIFF files into one document in upload order or sorted by file name.

Each page is stored in the PDF as a JPEG at the quality you pick, which keeps scans readable while making the PDF far smaller than an uncompressed TIFF. Nothing is uploaded.

Typical sources are a network scanner's “scan to folder” output, an e-fax inbox, a hospital or court records export, and archive scans from a digitisation project. All of those commonly produce multi-page TIFFs with fax-style compression, which is exactly the case many simple image converters get wrong by converting only the first page.

How It Works

  1. Add TIF/TIFF files — up to 20, single-page or multi-page. Each file is read in the browser.
  2. Choose options — page size (fit to image, A4, Letter, A3, Legal), orientation (automatic, portrait, landscape), image fit, margin, JPEG quality (50–95%) and page order (as added or by file name).
  3. Convert — UTIF decodes every frame to RGBA pixels; each frame is drawn to a canvas, encoded as JPEG and placed on its own page with PDF-Lib.

Compatibility & Support

Supported Input → Output Formats

  • Input: .tif, .tiff — single and multi-page, uncompressed, LZW, PackBits and CCITT fax (Group 3/4)
  • Output: one PDF, one page per TIFF frame
  • Quality: JPEG at 50%, 70%, 85% or 95%

Unsupported Formats

TIFFs using JPEG-in-TIFF (old-style “OJPEG”) compression, 16-bit or 32-bit float scientific images, and CMYK TIFFs from print workflows may decode incorrectly or not at all. GeoTIFF location data and TIFF tags are not carried into the PDF. If a file fails, open it in an image editor and re-save it as a standard TIFF or PNG.

File Size Limits

Up to 20 files per PDF, each of which may contain many pages. A single A4 page scanned at 300 DPI is about 8.7 megapixels, so a 100-page TIFF is decoded one page at a time to stay within browser memory; very large archives may still be slow on phones.

Bi-level fax pages compress extremely well; colour scans at 95% quality produce the largest PDFs, so 85% is the best default for most documents.

Who Should Use This Tool?

  • Students: A student converts a multi-page TIFF of scanned library chapters into one PDF to annotate on a tablet.
  • Freelancers & Designers: A freelance archivist converts client-provided TIFF scans of old letters into shareable PDFs.
  • Office Professionals: A legal assistant converts fax-server TIFFs into PDFs for the case management system.
  • Developers: A developer converts TIFF output from a document-imaging API into PDF to check it on any device.

Key Features / Khusoosiyat

Here's what separates this tool from generic alternatives:

📠

Multi-Page TIFF

Every frame becomes its own PDF page, in order.

📚

Merge Many Files

Combine up to 20 TIFFs into a single PDF.

🔤

Sort by Name

Order pages by file name — handy for numbered scans.

🎚️

Quality Control

Pick JPEG quality to balance size and sharpness.

📐

Page Layout

Fit to image, A4, Letter, A3 or Legal.

🏠

No Upload

Scans of sensitive documents stay local.

Why This Tool Beats the Alternatives

  • Handles multi-page and fax-compressed TIFFs, not just simple single images.
  • Private — scanned records aren't sent to a server.
  • Much smaller PDFs than embedding raw TIFF data.
  • Free, no watermark, no account.
  • Name-based sorting for large sets of numbered scans.

Pro Tips

  • Name scans 001, 002, 003 and choose “Sort by filename” so pages end up in the right order, even when you select the files in a random order.
  • Use 70% quality for text-only scans and 85–95% for photos or documents with fine print; black-and-white fax pages look identical at any setting, so pick the lowest for the smallest file.
  • Need searchable text afterwards? Run the PDF through Extract Text (OCR), which reads the scanned pages and gives you copyable text.

Add your TIF or TIFF files above and download a single PDF.
