Backlinks indexing

You built or earned a link, but it doesn't show up in your backlink reports or seem to help. The usual reason is that the page carrying the link isn't indexed yet — or never will be. Many “backlink indexer” tools promise to fix this by pinging search engines. That no longer works: Google retired its sitemap ping endpoint in 2023, and Bing retired its own in 2022 in favour of IndexNow.

This tool does the parts that still work. Paste your backlink URLs and it builds a checklist with a Google and a Bing index check for each one, lets you mark each as indexed or not, and exports the result as CSV. For pages on sites you control, it generates an IndexNow key, the key file to upload, and the JSON payload to submit your URLs to Bing, Yandex, Seznam and Naver.

It also explains what to do with links that aren't indexed, because a page that has been crawled but not indexed is usually telling you something about its quality, not about discovery.

Everything runs in your browser. The URL list isn't sent anywhere unless you open a search yourself or submit to IndexNow.

How It Works

1. Paste backlink URLs — up to 500, one per line. The tool normalises them (adds https:// where missing) and removes duplicates.
2. Check index status — each row links to a Google site: search for that exact page and a Bing url: search. Open them, then mark the row Indexed or Not indexed. Export the checklist to CSV or copy the not-indexed URLs.
3. Get pages crawled — follow the on-page steps for third-party pages, and for your own domain download the IndexNow key file and JSON payload and submit them with the command shown.

Unsupported Formats

The tool can't query Google automatically — Google doesn't offer a public API for index status of other people's pages, and scraping its results breaks its terms. Google Search Console's URL Inspection only works for sites you have verified. IndexNow only accepts URLs from a domain where you can upload the key file, so third-party backlinks can't be submitted that way.

File Size Limits

Up to 500 URLs per checklist. IndexNow accepts up to 10,000 URLs per request, so one payload covers any normal batch from your own site.

Search engines limit how quickly you can run manual searches; if Google starts showing a captcha, pause for a few minutes before continuing down the list.
